The Union Public Service Commission conducted the Combined Defence Service Examination (CDS) on 21 April 2024. Candidates who want to build their career in the Indian Air Force, Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Officer’s Training Academy have participated in this examination.

After each process ends, the UPSC will release the result for both the written exam and the SSB Interview. The result will be published in a PDF format, including the selected candidates’ names and roll numbers. After the entire selection process is completed, the commission will call the selected candidates for training programmes.
UPSC CDS Exam Overview
- The examination had three papers: English, General Knowledge and Mathematics.
- Each paper had 100 questions with a total of 100 marks.
- All questions were multiple-choice questions.
- The duration for each paper was 02 hours.
- There is a penalty of 1/3rd mark for each incorrect answer.
Result Preparation Process
- Provisional Answer Key: Before the announcement of the result, the commission will publish the provisional answer key on its official website, i.e. upsc.gov.in. Candidates must check their answers with it.
- Objection Process: While checking the answers, candidates can raise objections if they find any wrong answers. The examination authority will charge a fee for each objection. Candidates must submit their objections within 3 days after releasing the official answer key. The commission will release a revised answer key after rectifying the errors.
- Final Result: The final result will be based on the revised answer key. It will be published officially. Candidates can check their results by login details such as registration number and date of birth.
