UPSC CAPF 2024 Notification Released, Check Application Schedule and Apply Online

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has newly published a recruitment notification to recruit 506 Assistant Commandants (AC) positions in the Paramilitary Forces (BSF, CAPF, CISF, ITBP & SSB) of India. Candidates are waiting for this opportunity to apply for these positions.

Aspiring candidates can apply for this recruitment from 24 April 2024. The last date to apply for this recruitment will be 14 May 2024. Candidates first ensure the eligibility criteria before applying. Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.
  • Age Limit: Candidates should be 20 years old and the upper age limit of the candidates is not more than 25 years as of 01.08.2024. The commission has given the age relaxation as per the category, which is given below:

  • Registration Fee: The registration fee for SC/ST/Female candidates is exempted, and other category candidates have to pay ₹200 for registration. The commission will accept online payment through net banking, debit cards, credit cards and other online sources.

Note: Once paid, the registration fee will not be refunded in any circumstances.

UPSC CAPF AC Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be as follows;

  • Written Exam: Firstly, they have to take a written exam, which will be conducted in two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper II. This test comprises the candidate’s general ability and intelligence.
  • Physical Efficiency Test: This test includes physical and medical standard tests. The events included in these phases will be separate for male and female candidates.
  • Personality Test/ Interview: Candidates who will be qualified for medical standard tests will be called for the personality test or interview which consists of 150 marks. After qualifying for the personality test or interview the commission will issue a Detailed Application Form (DAF) for shortlisted candidates.
  • Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam and personality test or interview.
