Selection Process

The selection process for the Union Bank of India Apprentice program involves several steps to ensure that the best candidates are chosen. Here’s a simple breakdown of how the selection works:

1. Online Test (Objective Type)

The first step is an online examination, which is a multiple-choice test. It consists of four different sections:

SN Name of Tests No. of Questions Marks
1 General/Financial Awareness 25 25
2 General English 25 25
3 Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude 25 25
4 Computer Knowledge 25 25
Total 100 100

2. Knowledge and Test of Local Language:

After the online test, if you’ve applied for a seat in a specific state, you must be proficient in the local language of that state. This means you should be able to read, write, speak, and understand that language.

You may be required to show your 10th or 12th-grade marksheet as proof that you studied the local language. If you can’t provide this, you’ll have to take a test to demonstrate your knowledge of the local language during your personal interaction and document verification.

3. Wait List

After the tests, the bank will prepare a list of successful candidates. If you make it to this list, it means you’ve been selected, but you’ll need to wait to see if there’s a spot available for you. If someone from the first merit list doesn’t accept the offer or doesn’t report for duty, candidates from the waitlist will be given a chance.

4. Medical Examination

If you’re selected, you’ll need to pass a medical examination. This means you must provide a medical certificate from a practising doctor who has at least an MBBS.
