A total of 500 vacancies of Technician Apprentices (Diploma Apprentices) have been announced by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd (TANGEDCO). The residents of Tamil Nadu who have done their Diploma in Engineering from the year 2020- 2023 are eligible for this apprenticeship program. Interested and eligible candidates have already registered for the posts. The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd engages Engineering Diploma Graduates to undergo a one-year Apprenticeship training program under the Apprenticeship Act 1973. The main objective of this program is to provide hands-on experience to diploma graduates to improve their ability to get a job in various engineering fields.

Steps to Fill TANGEDCO Apprentice Application Form 2024

For Registration

The form-filling process begins with registration, follow the steps to register yourself to the NATS portal.

1. Open the NATS official web portal i.e. .
2. Tap on the “Student’ button available on the homepage and then tap on “Student Register” button.
3. Check the list of documents required to fill out Apprentice Application Form 2024 as displayed on the screen. Then click on the “Yes” button and proceed further.
4. Now enter your e-mail ID and mobile number and verify it through OTP generation.
5. Complete the registration form and you will receive an enrollment number.

For Applying

Once the registration is completed, candidates will then be able to fill out the complete application form through the steps discussed here.

1. Login in the “Student Login” portal by entering your e-mail ID and password.
2. Find “TANGEDCO” under the “Apply Against Advertised Vacancies” section and click on it.
3. Click on the “Apply” tab and upload your Diploma Provisional Certificate.
4. Enter the percentage of marks obtained in the Diploma Examination.
5. Now, lastly, click on the “Submit” button to complete the application procedure.

TANGEDCO Apprentice Application Fee 2024

The candidates are not required to pay any application/ registration fee while filling out the TANGEDCO Apprentice Application Form 2024. Authorities have exempted from paying the application fee irrespective of the categories from which the candidates belong.

Eligibility Criteria for TANGEDCO Apprentice Recruitment 2024

Every candidate who wants to be hired for the training period as a TANGEDCO Diploma Apprentice must fulfill certain basic eligibility requirements as specified by the official authorities. The detailed eligibility criteria for different parameters are mentioned below.

Educational Qualification

A candidate must possess certain educational qualifications to become eligible for the Apprentice training program. Candidates must have done a full-time diploma in Engineering or Technology in respective engineering disciplines from:-

• Institution recognized by Center or State Government.
• By a University
• By a Board of Technical Education established by a State Government

Note:- Candidates with one year or more of work experience, as well as those who have completed or are already completing apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, are not eligible to apply for this position.

Age Limit

The age limit for TANGEDCO Apprentice Recruitment 2024 will be applicable as per Apprenticeship Rules.

TANGEDCO Apprentice Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection of candidates is entirely based on the percentage of marks obtained by candidates in the Engineering Diploma Examination followed by certificate verification. Once the certificates are verified candidates will be selected for the Apprentice training program.

• Shortlisting of Candidates:- The authorities first begin to shortlist the candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in the Diploma examination. These marks are provided by the candidates in the TANGEDCO Apprentice Application Form 2024. The higher the marks higher the chances of selection Apprenticeship training program.
• Intimation of Shortlisted Candidates:- Shortlisted candidates will receive the intimation about their selection through the registered e-mail ID.
• Certificate Verification:– All those candidates who are shortlisted will appear for the Certificate Verification round, at this stage candidates will need to present all their necessary documents to the authorities.

TANGEDCO Apprentice Salary 2024

The candidates are appointed for 1 year of Apprentice training period and during this period candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 8000/-. This amount will only be paid to those candidates who will be shortlisted after the selection process of TANGEDCO Apprentice Recruitment 2024.
