RRB ALP Syllabus 2024, Check Asstt Loco Pilot Scheme and Paper Pattern

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is initiating recruitment for various posts of Assistant Loco Pilots. For a total of 5696 vacancies, online applications from interested candidates were accepted from 20 January to 19 February 2024.

A massive number of candidates applied for the RRB ALP vacancies. Eligible candidates will be selected based on their performance in multiple phases of the written test. RRB ALP Selection Process

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts exams to recruit Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) and various Technician posts. The selection process involves three stages:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) 1: This is a common exam for ALP and Technician positions.
  2. Computer-Based Test (CBT) 2: This is only for ALP candidates.
  3. Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): This is a trade test.

CBT-1

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Exam Scheme & Paper Pattern

CBT-1

  • The RRB ALP exam comprises objective-type MCQs.
  • In the exam, 75 questions will be asked.
  • Each correct answer will be given one mark.
  • The duration of this exam will be 60 minutes.
  • There is a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer.
  • The minimum qualifying marks were set at 40% for UR and EWS categories, 30% for OBC (NCL), 30% for SC, and 25% for ST.

  • There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • The minimum qualifying marks were set at 40% for Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 30% for Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) [OBC (NCL)], 30% for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 25% for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
