India Post Office GDS 2nd Merit List 2024, Release Date Soon @indiapostgdsonline.gov.in

The India Post Office released the GDS 1st Merit List on August 19, 2024. Now candidates whose names weren’t in the merit list are waiting for the GDS 2nd Merit List. The Department of Post, India will publish the second Merit List on the official website, https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. It is expected that the India Post GDS 2nd Merit List might be published in 1st week of September 2024.

Along with the India Post Office GDS Result, the department will release the schedule for candidates’ appearance in the document verification process. The result cum India Post GDS Merit List will be published on the zonal website. There will be a system-generated merit list to shortlist the candidates for a further phase of the selection process. Post Office GDS Cut Off 2024

The India Post GDS 2024 Cut Off Marks are set by the authorities to help narrow down the number of applicants for the available positions. Only those candidates who meet or exceed the required cut-off marks will be considered eligible for the job. Post Office GDS Selection Process 2024

The selection process for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) positions does not require candidates to take a written exam. Instead, candidates are shortlisted based on a system-generated merit list, which is created from the marks they obtained in their 10th standard board exams. If two or more candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference, based on their date of birth.

Once the GDS Result is announced, those who have been shortlisted will be contacted for document verification. This notification will be sent to their registered mobile number and email via SMS. After completing the document verification process, the system will send out a recruitment offer to the candidates through their registered SMS or email.

How to check India Post GDS Result 2024?

GDS Results will be declared on the regional website of India Postal Services. A PDF list having the names of selected candidates will be published. Candidates should check the list and find out their names. In addition, keep your mobile phone with you and check your email regularly for the schedule and venue of document verification.

  1. First, visit the official website of India Post.
  2. Click on your respective zone and then the postal circle.
  3. Then, click on the GDS Result link.
  4. Download the Result Sheet in PDF.
  5. Extract the downloaded file and search for your name on it.
  6. Finally, check your respective results.

What Next After the Declaration of Post Office GDS Result 2024?

Once the 2nd List of India Post GDS is announced, candidates who have been shortlisted will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number and an email, inviting them to take part in the document verification process. They must bring a set of specific original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies for submission during this verification.

Candidates will have a total of 15 days to present their documents for verification. It’s important to note that if a candidate does not report to the Verifying Authority within these 15 days, their application will be cancelled without further notice. Therefore, it’s crucial to act promptly and ensure all necessary documents are ready and submitted on time. The list of documents is as follows:
