OSSC CGL Admit Card 2024, Check Group B and C Examination Schedule and Exam scheme

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) is all set to conduct the Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination-2024 (CGL) to recruit various positions of Group B & Group C vacancies in different offices under the Government of Odisha. The preliminary examination will take place in the upcoming days.

Eligible candidates who filled out the application form for 586 vacancies against Advertisement Number 1249/OSSC can download the OSSC CGL Admit Card from the official portal, i.e. ossc.gov.in. Candidates can download their admit cards using the login details, which the commission will open in the upcoming weeks.

As per the official notification released by the commission, there are many vacancies, including the Audit, Assistant, Inspector of Endowments & Co-operative Societies and Junior Assistant posts. To be selected for these positions, candidates must pass the selection phases, i.e. Prelims Test, Mains Exam and certificate verification.

Examination Schedule for the CGL Examination

It is mandatory to know the examination schedule for the preparation of the examination. But now, the commission has not yet announced the exam date. As per the report, the prelims exam will occur in July 2024. Candidates are advised to be prepared accordingly.

OSSC CGL Selection Process & Prelims Exam Pattern

OSSC will finalize the selection of eligible candidates based on their performance in two phases of the selection process:

  • Prelims Examination – 150 Marks
  • Mains Examination – 200 Marks

By taking the prelims exam, main exam, and certificate verification, candidates can get positions under the Government of Odisha. It is initially to score better in both examinations to be shortlisted for the merit list. Firstly, candidates have to know the exam pattern of the CGL Examination. Here is the exam pattern:

  • This exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen-paper-based).
  • The duration to complete the OSSC CGL Examination will be 150 minutes.
  • It includes 150 multiple-choice questions, totalling 150 marks with a negative marking of 1/4th marks.

The admit card is a mandatory document for the examination. It is also necessary to bring original identity proofs such as PAN Card/ Adhar Card/ Passport. Usually, an admit card contains the information regarding the examination and candidates, which are as follows:

  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Father’s & Mother’s Name
  • Exam Date
  • Exam Time
  • Exam Centre Location
  • Photograph & Signature of the candidates

How to download the OSSC CGL Admit Card 2024 online?

To download the Odisha OSSC CGL Admit Card, candidates are advised to follow the below-mentioned steps carefully:

  1. Visit the official website, i.e. ossc.gov.in.
  2. Look for the “What’s New” section.
  3. Find the “OSSC CGL Admit Card 2024”.
  4. Click on the link and enter your registration number/ username, password and captcha code into the login portal.
  5. After entering the required details, click on the “Login” button.
  6. Now, you can see the admit card on the screen.
  7. Download it and take at least two printouts of the admit card.
