All those candidates who participated in the written exam are anxious to know their qualifying status for the next stage of the selection process. UPSC NDA Result 2024 has been released in PDF format along with the candidates’ names for the interview round which will be conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy for the 153rd Course and for the 115th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) starting from January 2, 2025. What After NDA Result 2024?

Candidates whose names are mentioned in the result pdf and eligible to appear for the interview exam are required to submit the original certificates in respective service headquarters 20 days from the announcement of written results as follows:—

The selection of the candidates for the NDA 1 exam will be based on two stages of the selection process, stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who clear stage I (write exam) are permitted to appear for stage II. Stage II Comprises Interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.

  • The personality of a candidate is assessed by three different assessors – the Interviewing Officer (IO), the Group Testing Officer (GTO), and the Psychologist. There is no specific weightage assigned to each test. The marks are allotted by assessors only after considering the candidate’s performance holistically in all the tests.
  • The various tests conducted by the IO, GTO, and Psych are designed to determine the presence or absence of Officer Like Qualities (OLQs) and their trainability in a candidate. Based on their performance, candidates are either Recommended or Not Recommended at the SSB.

UPSC NDA 1 Interview Schedule

Qualified candidates in the NDA 1 written exam are called to appear for the SSC interview exam. The interview exam consists of two stages – stage I (Screening Test) and stage II (Psychological Test, Group Testing Officers Test, Personal Interview, and Conference). Candidates who clear stage I are permitted to appear for stage II. The complete schedule of the NDA SSB interview and exam process is as follows:

Day 1Screening TestOIR Test – The Officers Intelligence Test comprises fundamental aptitude questions related to both verbal and nonverbal reasoning.
PPDT– In the Picture Perception and Discussion Test, candidates are shown a picture for 30 seconds and then asked to write a story based on what they saw. A group discussion will then be conducted based on the same image.
Day 2Psychological TestThematic Apperception Test (TAT)– The candidates will be shown 11 pictures, with the last one being a blank slide. Each picture will be displayed for 30 seconds, and candidates will have 4 minutes to write a story based on the picture they see.
Word Association Test (WAT)– Candidates are shown 60 words consecutively for 15 seconds each. They are then required to write a sentence based on each word within the given 15 seconds.
Situation Reaction Test (SRT) – Candidates will be given 60 situations in a booklet and with 30 minutes they need to write their response based on that situation.
Self Description Test (SD)– Self Description, where candidates will be given 15 minutes to write their opinion on themselves, parents, friends and teacher.

NDA Marksheet 2024

The NDA Marksheet will be published on the official website of UPSC www.upsc.gov.in within 15 days of the final result’s publication, post-conclusion of SSB Interviews. The mark sheets will remain available on the website for 30 days. The NDA 1 mark sheet will contain the candidate’s marks in the written exam and interview exam.
