NEET UG Counselling Registration for Round 1 began on August 14, 2024.  The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts UG Counselling 2024 for 15% AIQ seats in government medical colleges whereas state counselling of the NEET UG 2024 exam will be administered by specific state authorities.

As per the official notice, the last date to submit the NEET counselling registration form is on or before August 20, 2024. Candidates can apply for the choice-filling process from August 16 and the last date to fill and lock choices will be August 20, 2024. The officials will release the seat allotment result on August 23, 2024.

NEET UG Counselling Registration 2024

The NEET UG Counselling Registration will be conducted in three rounds and then a stray vacancy round will be conducted by the officials. The NEET UG state counselling will be conducted separately for 100% of seats in top private medical colleges and 85% of government college seats. The counselling is conducted based on rank obtained by the candidates in the NEET UG 2024 Exam.

MCC offers counselling to the NEET UG-qualified candidates for admission to UG courses like MBBS, BDS, and BSC Nursing. Furthermore, the counselling process is administered based on the score obtained in the NEET exam. In the counselling process, cut off list is published which ascertains the minimum marks required to secure admission in various courses including MBBS, BDS, and BSC Nursing.

MCC NEET UG Counselling is usually held online at mcc.nic.in. The NEET counselling is divided into three rounds and a stray vacancy round. However, the number of counselling rounds also depends on the availability of seats.

Steps to Apply for NEET UG Counselling Registration

There are a total of eight steps involved in the MCC NEET UG Counselling registration process. Here is a step-by-step guide to the registration process is detailed below.

  1. Release of Seat Matrix: The seat matrix for MBBS and BDS courses will be announced by MCC for all the participating universities offering 15 per cent AIQ seats.
  2. Registration: In the next step, candidates need to register themselves for all the rounds with the valid details asked in the form and then pay the registration fees to complete the registration process.
  3. Choice Filling: Now, all the registered candidates will be required to log in to the MCC website and fill in their choice of colleges to which they desire to secure admission.
  4. Choice Locking: In the next step, they need to lock the choices submitted by them and take the printout of the same. Be careful while locking the choices as they cannot be modified or edited once it is locked.
  5. Verification & Seat Allotment Processing: All the registration details and choices will be verified by the University. Based on this, they will decide the seat allotment result and then provide it to the MCC.
  6. Seat Allotment Result: The seat allotment result for all the registered candidates who have submitted their choices will be released by MCC. Even, candidates can object to the provisional result, if any, and then the final result will be announced.  Based on their seat allotment results, candidates can either accept the institute or apply for the second round of registration for seat upgrades.
  7. Upload Documents: Once the seat allotment list is announced, candidates will have to upload all the required documents in the prescribed format on the MCC website.
  8. Institute Reporting: Lastly, they will have to visit their respective institute where they desire to secure admission. In this round, the hard copy of all the documents will be verified and students will have to pay admission fees.
