Examiner, Reader, Senior Bailiff, Junior Bailiff, Process Server, Process Writer, Xerox Operator Posts Candidates should have passed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies or Colleges Courses of Studies.
Driver Posts The candidate should possess the VIII class certificate and a valid driver’s license.
Copyist Attender, Office Assistant Posts Candidates must have passed the VIII class.
Cleanliness worker/ Scavenger, Gardener, Watchman/ Nightwatchman, Nightwatchman – Masalchi, Watchman – Masalchi, Sweeper – Masalchi, Waterman / Waterwoman, Masalchi Candidates must be able to read the Tamil Language.

Age Limit (As of 01 July 2024)

Madras High Courts Positions Selection Process

Written Exam

The authority will conduct a written examination to assess the candidate’s general knowledge and subject knowledge.

Skill Test

After qualifying for the written exam, candidates will be called for a Skill Test to test their knowledge of in-office maintenance, House-keeping, hygiene, household articles maintenance, and other household duties, including food production, cooking, cleaning, food and beverage service, gardening skills, water conservation, basic principles of guarding the house/office etc. The skill test will be held at Chennai or any other place as decided by the  Judicial Recruitment Cell, High Court, Madras.

Viva-Voice

After conducting the above phase, the authority will call the shortlisted candidates for the Viva-Voice test.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for OBC/ BCM/ MBC & DC category candidates is ₹500/- for each post. Candidates in the SC/ST category are exempted from the registration fee. Differently Disabled Persons and Destitute Widows of all castes are exempted from paying the fee.
