JoSSA Counselling 2024
Candidates who want to get admission for undergraduate engineering courses offered by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) in India will be able to participate in counselling through the official website of JoSSA.

It is not yet confirmed officially by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority that when the counselling procedure for BTech/BE on JoSSA webportal will begin, those who have cleared the JEE Main and JEE Advance will begin. It usually consists of multiple stages, which are Registration, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment, Document Verification and College Reporting.

JoSSA Counselling Procedure 2024

- Registration: Candidates need to register on the web-portal using their JEE or JEE Advanced roll number, and other details.
- Choice Filling: Following registration, candidates must fill in their preferred choices of institutes and courses based on their rank and preferences.
- Mock Seat Allocation: JOSSA will release mock seat allocation, where an individual will be able to make sense about getting preferred choices.
- Seat Allocation: JOSSA will release seat allocation results based on candidates’ choices and ranks, and candidates will be able to accept the allocated seat, float (opt for a different seat while keeping the current one), slide (opt for a different seat with a higher preference in the same institute), or withdraw from the process.
- Document Verification: After the seat allotment result , candidates need to verify their documents online.
- Reporting to Allotted Institute: After document verification, candidates must report to the allotted institute on or before the deadline to complete the admission process.
Note: Documents required for JoSSA Counselling 2024 for BTech or BE, a candidate must have the following documents.
- Admit card and scorecard of JEE Main or JEE Advanced exam
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheet and passing certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable, such as SC/ST/OBC-NCL certificate)
- PwD (Person with Disability) certificate (if applicable)
- Passport-size photographs
- Photo identity proof (such as Aadhar card, passport, or driving licence).
