Educational Qualification:

  • To be eligible for this post, applicants need to have completed their graduation in any subject from a university or college recognized by the Government of India. If you have a similar qualification that is also recognized by the central government, that will work too.
  • Candidates must be fluent in the regional language of the state where they are applying. For example, if they’re applying in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, you should be proficient in Telugu. If they’re applying in Tamil Nadu or Puducherry, they need to know Tamil, and for Karnataka, you should be fluent in Kannada.

Age Limit:

  • The minimum age must be 20 and the maximum is 30 years.
  • If you’re applying for this position, there are certain age relaxations you might be eligible for, depending on your category. For candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the maximum age limit can be extended by 5 years. If you’re from the OBC-NCL category, you can get an age relaxation of 3 years.
  • Those with disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for a 10-year relaxation. Additionally, if you were affected by the 1984 riots, or if you’re an ex-serviceman, you can receive a 5-year extension on the age limit.

Citizenship:

  • To apply for this position, you need to be an Indian citizen. However, there are some other cases where you might also be eligible. If you’re a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, you can apply. People from Bhutan or Nepal are also eligible.
  • If you’re of Indian origin and moved to India from countries like Vietnam, Malawi, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma (now Myanmar), Uganda, or several East African countries (like Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, and Ethiopia), you can apply too.
