SBI Clerk Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The SBI Clerk Syllabus comprises the topics for the two phases of the exam. The SBI Clerk syllabus for both stages is almost similar with a slight change in the SBI Clerk Mains Exam with the addition of an extra section of General Awareness.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern: Phase I

  • The SBI Clerk Prelims Exam comprises 100 Marks with a duration of 1 hour.
  • There will be a negative marking of 1/4 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • There will be no minimum qualifying marks for the individual subject as well as for aggregate (overall)
  • The candidates who score more than the cut-off marks for Prelims will be shortlisted for Mains Exam.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern: Phase II

  • The SBI Clerk Mains Exam comprises 200 Marks with a duration of 2 hours 40 minutes.
  • There will be a negative marking of 1/4 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon).
  • Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank.
  • The final selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in the Mains Exam.

Highlights of SBI Clerk Exam

  1. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for wrong answers marked in the SBI Clerk Prelims and Mains Exam.
  2. The SBI Clerk Exam will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions in both Mains and Prelims.
  3. The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.
  4. The SBI Clerk Result will be released separately for the Prelims and the Mains.
  5. The selection will totally depend on the marks obtained by the candidates in Mains Exam.
  6. There will be no interview round conducted for the selection of candidates for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2022.
