Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Age Limit: The age limit for candidates is between 21 to 30 years as of the date mentioned in the notification. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

SBI PO Selection Process 2024

The SBI PO selection process involves three main stages for shortlisting eligible banking aspirants for filling required Probationary Officer vacancies:

Preliminary Examination:

  1. The preliminary exam is an objective test with three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
  2. Total duration: 1 hour
  3. Total marks: 100

Main Examination:

  1. The main exam consists of objective tests and a descriptive test. The objective test includes four sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language.
  2. Total duration: 3 hours for the objective test and 30 minutes for the descriptive test.
  3. The descriptive test requires candidates to write an essay and a letter.

Psychometric Test, Group Discussion (GD), and Interview:

  1. Candidates who qualify for the main examination are called for the psychometric test, group discussion, and interview.
  2. The psychometric test assesses candidates’ psychological traits and suitability for the banking profession.
  3. Group discussion and interview further evaluate the candidates’ communication skills, leadership qualities, and overall personality.
