Eligibility Requirements for Aircraft Technician Vacancies
Educational Qualifications
- For Aircraft Technician: Candidates should have a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of one year of aviation experience.
- For Trainee Aircraft Technician: Candidates should possess a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering(AME) or Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Radio/Instrumentation Engineering and must have at least one year of aviation experience.
Age Limit (as on 01-06-2024)
The minimum age limit of the candidates should be 18 years, and the upper age limit is as follows:
- For General/EWS category candidates: 35 years
- For OBC category candidates: 38 years
- For SC/ST category candidates: 40 years

Contract Period & Emoluments
The fixed-term contract is initially set for a period of 5 years, with the possibility of extension for another 5 years based on the company’s needs and the candidate’s preference. Upon joining, an Aircraft Technician will receive a monthly salary of ₹27,940 by the salary structure approved by AIESL. Additionally, Trainee Aircraft Technicians will be provided with a stipend of ₹15,000 by AIESL.
AIESL Technician Selection Procedure
The selection of the candidates will be based on a skill test/trade test and an interview. The AIESL will scrutinise the candidate’s documents and other details provided during registration. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements are called for pre-interview formalities at the notified time & date on the email provided on the application registration form.
